Service Access Fee — $8.80
- The $8.80 fee provides digital access to the instructions and testing process.
Optional Small-Payment Test — 66 RMB
- Each completed optional test is charged separately at 66 RMB.
Optional test payments are not included in the $8.80 access fee. If you choose more than one test scenario, each completed test is charged separately.
Test payments are service and testing fees. They are not deposits and are not refundable after completion.
Result Classification
Ready
- A small test succeeded and the basic payment path appears more prepared. This does not remove the need for a physical bank card, another payment method and a modest RMB cash backup.
Partially Ready
- Some parts worked while other parts failed or remain incomplete. The traveler should not rely on one payment method and should prepare another app, another card and RMB cash.
High Risk
- The test failed, the setup is incomplete, or a visible account, card or verification problem remains. The issue should be addressed before departure and independent backup payment methods are necessary.
Why Test Before Departure
A payment app can look ready while an actual payment path still fails. Testing before departure can reveal visible problems while there is still time to prepare alternatives.

Important Limitations
A successful small test is limited evidence. It does not guarantee:
- Every later payment in China will work
- Large purchases, hotel charges, deposits, transfers, taxi payments or merchant-specific payments will work
- A bank, card issuer, Alipay, Weixin Pay, merchant or risk-control system will approve another transaction
- The account, card, device, network or merchant environment will behave the same after arrival
- Policies, verification requirements or platform rules will remain unchanged
